Spiti is often referred to as Little Tibet because its terrain, vegetation and climate are very similar to that of Tibet. It is perched at an average height of 12,500 feet above sea level and is surrounded by Lahaul, Ladakh, Kinnaur and Kullu. From Lahaul, one can enter into Spiti Valley via the Kunzum La or Kumzum Pass, which is located at a height of 14,931 ft.other way is from Old Hindustan Tibet road from Kinnaur Side.
It is a popular tourist destination and serves as the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti district as well as Leh.

After breakfast, We begin our journey off 110-kilometre from Manali and drive to Chandertal en-route will cross Solang Valley & Atal Tunnel Rohtang (An Engineering marvel).we experience a dramatic change in the landscape around us, from dense forested Hills to Rocky barren plains and peaks. Will approach the stunning brown landscape of Chattru and Batal.
We will have Lunch Break at batal and will make our way to exhilarating & beautiful Chandertal lake also known as Moon Lake.after capturing Chandertal lake will come back and Check in to the Swiss Camp at Camp site.
After breakfast check out from the Camp and drive to Kaza. At 14,931 feet,we are welcomed by the chilly air at Kunzum Pass, descending into Losar Village, the first in Spiti Valley, Key Monastery & Chicham Bridge .Kaza is situated at an altitude of 12500 ft/ 3,800 meters. Check in and stay at a Camp or Hotel at kaza.
Drive from Kaza – Ki Monastery – Langza – Komik – Hikkim – Kaza
Today , we drove to some of the highest inhabited villages of the world. We begin our day by heading to Komik, which literally translates to “eye of a snow cock”, The highest village in Asia situated at the height of 14,806 feet. With the tiny population of 84 people,
This isolated farm village is surrounded by soft brown pastures and snow-white mountain peaks. We further drive to the highest post office in the world Hikkim and send a postcard to your loved ones.after sending the postcard we head to Beautiful village of Langza. A village guarded by a huge statue of Lord Buddha gazing at trans himalayan ranges and its best known for Fossils of marine animals and plants are here from million years.
We also visit the world-famous Ki Monastery, situated at a height of 13,668 feet. With over 1000 years’ worth stories to tell.
Drive from Kaza – Gulling – Pin Valley- Mud
Today we will go to Pin Valley- A high altitude national park Famous for its variety of landscape,Flora & fauna, sprawling fields and vastness of Valley. The valley is mainly influenced by Buddhist culture. It is the house of endangered species like snow leopard , ibex to name a few. Will stay at Gulling Village.
Pin Valley-Tabo-Kaza
Today will be our last day of Spiti valley sightseeing. We drove to Tabo, famous for the more than 1000 year old Tabo monastery, a UNESCO World heritage site.after tabo will head to a tiny hamlet Dhankar monastery and Dhankar lake trek.and head back to Kaza.
After early morning we will start our backward journey to Manali. Today will be our last day of Spiti road trip with memories to cheer for life will reach Manli in 6-7 hrs. will drop you at the Bus Stand.
