Hampta pass trek connects two beautiful valleys named; Kullu and Lahaul,where one gets to see various ever changing Landscapes. There are only a few treks which can offer almost everything that one wishes to see on an Himalayan trek. Incredible views of glacial valleys, thick pine forest, open meadows, adrenaline pumping waterways, and an adventurous Crossing of a high altitude pass. Like an icing on the cake,we have added an exciting day-long trip for camping at Chandratal; a high altitude alpine lake & a camper’s paradise. The return road journey is over the Rohtang pass. It is a moderate grade trek and recommended for experienced as well as beginners.

Route:Jobri-BaluKaGhera-HamptaPass-SheaGoru-Chatru-Chandertaal-Manali.
Transport:
After freshening up & breakfast in Manali, board a Taxi for Jobri.Reach Jobri in one hour. From here will start the trek for Chika with a Packed lunch. Reach Chika by late afternoon. Camping in Chika.
After breakfast leave camps early morning with packed lunch. Today’s trek is to Balu Ka Ghera. This place is famous for brown bears and hence the name of this place stands on them. During winters, all the brown bears come here and hibernate. Many different varieties of flowers can be seen all the way. There are many water streams on the way. It’s better to cross water stream in the morning when the current is slow. Reach Balu ka ghera by late afternoon . Camping in balu ka Ghera.
We break camps early as today is a bit hectic day as we will trek for 14 kilometres approx. all together . Today we will cross Hampta pass. Trekking in Hampta pass just drives you crazy as it is one of the most fabulous experiences you can have. It has so much natural beauty that cannot be explained in words. It is a perfect location to click some fabulous pictures.
Today you will see a snow field which is covered with snow for almost the entire part of the year. Reach Sheagoru by late afternoon.
Camping in Shea Goru.
Camp in Chhatru Todays trek is approx. 8 kms. Break camps early in the morning. After breakfast get ready for the trek and cross the river which can be seen from the campsite. Half of the trek is very easy which is a full descent.After descending you will see the large valley of river Chandra.
Reach Chhatru which is the road head. From Chatru ,board a taxi for a road journey to Chandratal. Reach Chandratal by late afternoon.
After spending some time at Chandratal return to Chhatru by the evening.
Camp in Chhatru.
Drop in Manali by 4 PM Approx.
Difficulty Level: This trek as a moderate difficulty level, proving to be a pleasantly easy trek. An average level of physical fitness is required as the trail is long and altitudes can vary.
