Deo Tibba base camp also known as Chota Chandratal is one of the most beautiful treks of the region. It takes us to the grazing pastures of the Gaddi shepherds and the emerald blue waters of the Chandertal Lake (4200 m). Also famous for its flora and fauna and with magnificent views of Deo Tibba peak (6,001 m) and its huge hanging glaciers. This is a spectacular view that haunts every trekker giving a unique experience during the trek.

In the morning after breakfast drive 12km to AD tunnel point and from here trek 03 km to Chikka. Set out camp for overnight tents.

The first part of the trail winds through birch forests before opening on to the huge meadow at Seri. The camp at the opposite end. The meadow is about an hour’s walk away.

The initial part of the trek is all flat and easy walking till you come to a stream. After crossing the stream the trails is uphill through boulders till you come to the camp which is on a moraine.

The path is all through Morraine with some uphill stretches. The closed valley doesn’t offer views of the valley but Deo Tibba stays with you all along. Chota Chandratal is a beautiful small mountain lake in a depression. Return to the camp at Tainta.
